BIKE TO WORK PROGRAM

As a Bicycle Friendly Business, The Burke Group provides mileage reimbursement, changing facilities and bicycle storage for our employees while promoting bicycling for the environment, fun, fitness and transportation. Since the creation of our year-round “Bike to Work” program by Mike Kerr and Jonathan O’Connell in 2006, employees have ridden over 108,000 miles.

In 2010, the League of American Bicyclists awarded CBBEL "Silver" status as a Bicycle Friendly Business. The Bicycle Friendly Business Program recognizes employer's efforts to encourage a more bicycle friendly atmosphere for employees and clients and honors innovative bike friendly efforts. CBBEL is one of three Illinois firms to be awarded Silver status and is one of the few midwestern non-bike related businesses to be awarded Silver status.

Also in 2010, CBBEL was named one of the best workplaces for commuters. Best workplace for commuters members are nationally recognized leaders offering outstanding commuter benefits to their employees.
