PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This
project generally consists of the pavement reconstruction of Cherry Lane
from Landwehr Road to Greenbriar Lane and Western Avenue from Walters
Avenue to Dundee Road. The pavement reconstruction includes new full
depth bituminous pavement, new concrete curb and gutter, partial
sidewalk removal and replacement, and topsoil/seeding parkway
restoration. The existing roadways section will generally be maintained
which includes two thru travel lanes and a parallel parking lane on both
sides of the thru lanes. Curb and gutter/pedestrian “bump outs” will be
constructed at various intersections. These “bump outs” will serve as
traffic calming devices as well as reducing the in-road travel distance
for pedestrian crossing the street.
