Since 2009, CBBEL has been providing engineering and permitting assistance to Medinah Country Club (MCC) on several exciting improvement projects. With the Ryder Cup looming in 2012, MCC has been actively completing improvements to their world class No. 3 golf course. This course has been host to three U.S. Opens and two PGA Championships, the latest completed in 2006. One of the major revisions is the reworking of the 15th hole to allow the pro golfers to attempt to drive this par 4. MCC hired the famed golf course architect Rees Jones to reconfigure the hole. The existing area of the 15th hole green and adjacent 16th hole tee has historically been a problem wet area for Director of Golf Course Operations; Curtis Tyrrell.
