CHINLIANG R. WANG, PE
Head, Drainage Department
Mr. Wang has 34 years experience in highway
engineering associated with stormwater management, contract plans
preparation, geotechnical engineering, and construction supervision.
His primary responsibilities at CBBEL include project management,
providing technical direction as well as supervision and
coordination of project team engineers, development and presentation
of conceptual planning through engineering services required for
planning, design and construction phases of the project with major
emphasis on highway hydraulics and hydrology to ensure highway
safety and operational effectiveness while minimizing adverse
environmental impacts to adjacent properties. Other responsibilities
include review of hydraulic reports for waterway crossings,
hydraulic reports for pump stations, and drainage studies for major
highway improvements, review of drainage and utility plans during
design and permitting phases, review of related civil engineering
work and coordination with clients. Prior to joining CBBEL, Mr. Wang
was the Hydraulics Section Chief for IDOT District One from 1992 to
2002. He earned a Master of Arts in Creative Planning & Ecological
Management from the University of Illinois-Springfield, a Master of
Science in Civil Engineering from Ohio State University-Columbus,
and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from National Taiwan
University, Taipei, Taiwan.
