Head, Surveying Department

John R. Murphy, PE, PLS, is the head of the Survey Department.  His responsibilities include establishing and maintaining survey procedures for both field and office operations, estimating and contract preparation, logistical planning and research, supervising survey staff, and calculating survey data.  Mr. Murphy has over 13 years of civil engineering and surveying experience ranging from commercial and residential development to tunnel construction.  His most recent tunnel project was the mining of four Metro tunnels in Washington, D.C.  Mr. Murphy earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
