WEEKLY UPDATES
October 26 – November 1
The
Contractor completed concrete pavement on Laburnum Drive from Commercial
Avenue to Harris Drive (west side). The Contractor completed all
remaining concrete pavement patching on Commercial Avenue (Era Drive to
Huehl Road). The Subcontractor began landscaping at areas behind
carriage walk throughout the industrial park. The Contractor began
excavation for carriage walk to be completed on Commercial Avenue
(Sanders Road to Huehl Road) next week.
October 19 – October 25
The
Contractor completed carriage walk on Huehl Road (north of Commercial
Avenue) and Anthony Trail. The Contractor began construction of
concrete pavement on the west side of Laburnum Drive. The Contractor
completed a majority of the concrete pavement patches on Commercial
Avenue from Era Drive to Huehl Road.
October 12 –
October 18
The
Contractor excavated and poured carriage walk on Huehl Road (north of
Commercial Ave), Woodhead Drive, and Era Drive. The Contractor
completed concrete pavement on Commercial Avenue (Sanders Road to Era
Drive) at areas in front of driveways. The Contractor also began
preparing for concrete pavement patching to be completed next week on
Commercial Avenue between Era Drive and Huehl Road. The Contractor
removed pavement on the west side of Laburnum Drive (Commercial Avenue
to Harris Drive).
October 5 –
October 11
The
subcontractor completed all earth excavation required for the proposed
pavement on the south side of Commercial Avenue (Sanders to Era). The
Contractor completed two pavement pours for the proposed concrete
pavement on the south side of Commercial (Sanders to Era). In addition,
the Contractor began excavating for construction of carriage walk along
Woodhead Drive and Era Drive.
September 28
– October 4
The
Contractor completed pavement removal on Commercial Avenue (Sanders to
Era) and continued excavation for the south side of the proposed
pavement area. The Contractor completed approximately 1,500 feet of
curb and gutter on the south side of Commercial Avenue and began pouring
concrete pavement. The Contractor also completed pavement at the
intersection of Harris/Huehl and the northwest corner of Commercial/Huehl.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project generally
includes pavement reconstruction or pavement patching of various streets
within the Sky Harbor Industrial Park located at the northern end of the
Village at Dundee Road and Landwehr Road.
The roadway reconstruction consist of new
8” concrete pavement on a compacted aggregate base with new concrete
curb and gutter and topsoil/seeding restoration. For the most part of
the pavement width will not change except for on Landwehr where it will
be widened to provide 2-11’ travel lanes in each direction, between
Dundee and Huehl. Intersection radii will be increased slightly and
driveways will be widened to better accommodate truck movements.
In addition, a 5’ wide
concrete carriage walk will be constructed adjacent to the back of the
curb on some of the streets.
