As a Bicycle Friendly Business, The Burke Group provides mileage reimbursement, changing facilities and bicycle storage for our employees while promoting bicycling for the environment, fun, fitness and transportation. Since the creation of our year-round “Bike to Work” program by Mike Kerr and Jonathan O’Connell in 2006, employees have ridden over 440,168 miles. CBBEL is recognized by the League of American Bicyclists as a “Platinum” level Bicycle Friendly Business. The Bicycle Friendly Business Program recognizes employer’s efforts to encourage a more bicycle-friendly atmosphere for employees and clients and honors innovative bike friendly efforts. In 2022 for the fifth consecutive year, CBBEL was named one of the Best Workplaces for Commuters. Best Workplace for Commuters members are nationally recognized leaders offering outstanding commuter benefits to their employees.  In addition, CBBEL is recognized as a reporting member by Clean Air Counts. Biking to Work promotes employee health and fitness, increases employee morale, helps the environment as well as corporate image, and makes our bikers better designers.

  • Assistance on Routes, Equipment, Gear, etc.
  • Covered Bike Racks
  • Pumps, Bike Tools, Tubes, Other Gear and Maps are kept at office
  • Bike Storage in offices
  • Yearly Educational Presentations from the Active Transportation Alliance are provided
  • Participation in Bike to Work Week “Commuter Challenge”
