As a Bicycle Friendly Business, CBBEL provides mileage reimbursement, changing facilities and bicycle storage for our employees, while promoting bicycling for the environment, fun, fitness and transportation. Since the creation of our year-round Bike to Work Program by Mike Kerr and Jonathan O’Connell in 2006, employees have ridden over 400,000 miles. Biking to Work promotes employee health and fitness, increases employee morale, helps the environment as well as corporate image, and makes our bikers better designers.

CBBEL is recognized by the League of American Bicyclists as a Platinum level Bicycle Friendly Business, which recognizes an employer’s efforts to encourage a more bicycle-friendly atmosphere for employees and clients and honors innovative bike friendly efforts. For five consecutive years, CBBEL has been named one of the Best Workplaces for Commuters, which recognizes leaders offering outstanding commuter benefits to their employees. In addition, CBBEL is recognized as a reporting member by Clean Air Counts.

Program Consists Of

• Employees earn $0.75 for every mile commuted by bike
• On-site locker/shower facility
• Health club shower passes
• Fleet bikes for use to and from commuter stations
• Annual bike giveaway for most miles
• Quarterly giveaways of vests, lights, flat kits, seat bags, etc.
• Discounts from local bike shop for parts & service
• Assistance on routes, equipment, gear, etc.
• Covered bike racks
• Pumps, bike tools, tubes, maps and other gear kept at office
• Bike storage in offices
• Yearly educational presentations from the Active Transportation Alliance
• Participation in Bike to Work Week “Commuter Challenge”
• Participated in "National Bicycle Challenge"
• Hosted "CEO Ride" with Chris Burke during Bike to Work Week
• Program featured prominently in newsletters and corporate culture
• Participation is logged weekly
