12,400 feet of 135th Street from New Avenue to IL Route 171 was reconstructed and widened from a two-lane rural section to four 12-foot lanes with a 16-foot median and curb and gutter. The project included the construction of an enclosed drainage system and profile adjustments to reduce pavement flooding. The intersections of New Avenue, Smith Road, and IL Route 171 were also improved.
