The improvements consist of the removal of the Ashland Avenue viaduct over Pershing Road and reconstruction of the roadway intersection and approaches, including: Construction of composite pavement and pavement markings; concrete construction for curb and gutter, sidewalks, and medians; traffic signal modernization at the intersection of Ashland Avenue and Pershing Road; roadway lighting for the corridor; installation of storm sewers, combined sewers, and water mains; earthwork activities and landscape restoration.
