This project was the second stage of a three-stage project that extends Balmoral Avenue from I-294 to Bessie Coleman Drive on O’Hare International Airport property. The three stages included a bridge over the Canadian National Railroad, a bridge over Mannheim Road, and a full interchange with Mannheim Road. Stage 2 consisted of an exit ramp from southbound Mannheim Road, an underpass beneath Mannheim Road, and a connector ramp to the previously constructed North-South Access Road tying into Balmoral Avenue.
