The stream restoration plan improved playing surfaces at Butterfield Country Club in Oak Brook and also eliminated the poor drainage on the course. The stream restoration included the relocation and lowering of Ginger Creek, providing additional floodplain and stormwater storage and the installation of new outlet storm sewers. Faced with excess dirt, Butterfield decided to undertake a master restoration plan for the entire golf course where grading, drainage, and soil erosion control were implemented.
