CBBEL completed Phase I engineering and environmental studies to address the existing deficiencies that result in poor mobility and operations at this interchange. The Village received federal funds for this study which is currently being coordinated closely with IDOT. CBBEL performed all preliminary design work, including a Location Drainage Study and Pump Station Hydraulic Report which looked at several drainage system modification alternatives to balance discharges between two existing pump stations while alleviating underpass flooding and maintaining existing outflow rates to the Skokie Ditch.
